Chevrolet Corvette C7 TIKT performance brings a whole new spirit to the well-known American coupe. Already in the "ordinary" factory version, the C7 is a powerful sports car, adorned with more than desirable attributes - a 6.2-liter V8 engine, a 7-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive are just some of them. The Y-construction gives the car a striking supercar look, and some elements, such as trapezoidal taillights and centrally folded exhaust pipes, are reminiscent of the previous Camaro. All this contributes to a more aggressive styling, which took the new model away from previous generations of the Corvette. The German workshop TIKT, however, decided to go a step further and play around with the features on offer to get even more out of it. They certainly succeeded in that, because everything related to the tick performance of the corvette is an exceptional experience.
As a successor to the decades-long tradition behind the Chevrolet Corvette, the C7 ZO6 Coupe abandons the moderation of earlier models and aims for maximum at all levels. In addition to the use of carbon fiber in the construction of the body, aluminum chassis and indirect LED light, this car also boasts the use of NASA Aerogel technology, which allows power transmission does not heat the driver's cab. Behind the control panel we can find a multifunctional display, which even offers a tire temperature gauge. The new C7 does not shy away from the use of new technologies, and the overall impression is significantly different from the American muscle-car philosophy - we could compare it with the newer Ferraris, which was most likely claimed by the design team of Hwasup Lee, who is signatory of the design for this model.
Despite the fact that it uses basically the same 6.2 L V8 as we find on the standard Chevrolet Corvette C7 ZO6 Coupe, TIKT performance has significantly improved engine power with the help of a specially designed Supercharger 2650 compressor - TIKT's processing develops as much as 800 hp and 1000 nm while the production corvette has 659 hp and 881 nm. In addition to the compressor, a new crankshaft and Mahle pistons have been added. Instead of a 7-speed manual, an eight-speed automatic transmission is offered. The braking system has also been improved with the help of TIKT performance brakes, and the factory suspension with transverse composite springs has been replaced by Bilstein's, which is adjustable in two points. There’s also TIKT’s aerodynamic carbon kit which further emphasizes the powerful sporty look. We have 19 "wheels at the front and 20" at the rear.
Given that this is a car specially redesigned for the race track, it is not unrealistic to expect the impossible from TIKT’s monster. Because of its power and rear-wheel drive, it drives fear into the bones of even experienced drivers, earning it the nickname Luzifer. TIKT's Corvette C7 Z06 reaches 100 in an incredible 2.9 seconds, which is a better average than the Lamborghini Aventador and puts it in the top offer for drag races. In addition, the completely redesigned adjustable suspension provides excellent grip on the track. Although the standard Chevrolet Corvette C7 ZO6 Coupe reaches a maximum of around 300 km / h, TIKT claims that their car can break 370 km / h, although it has not been tested at more than 330. These maniacal speeds will surely ensure great popularity and excellent Corvette sales in the coming years.
The success of this German remake of the American classic is not just the result of a charged engine and a changed suspension, there is much more to the game than that. The company TIKT produces its own carbon parts, and in recent years they have established themselves as one of the best manufacturers of complex assemblies in the market. It’s the same with their unique cooling system, which allows for optimal Chevrolet Corvette C7 engine performance. TIKT performance presented innovative solutions when it comes to making body components from light alloys - a good ratio of engine power and total vehicle weight is a significant factor in unprecedented vehicle performance. We must not leave out the interior where TIKT racing sits with an H-belt and a protective cage are waiting for us, which complete the story of this road projectile.
We often witness that some of the technological innovations on a global level have roots in Croatia or its immediate neighborhood. This is exactly the case with the company TIKT, which was founded 22 years ago by brothers Krešimir and Tomislav Bodrožić. The company was initially founded in Gradiška as a TIKT manufactory, and in a few years the business was moved and developed in Rosenheim. As lovers of autotuning, the Bodrožić brothers dreamed of starting a business in which they would "fix" cars, which eventually grew into a real car industry. Today, TIKT Performance Parts is one of the leading German manufacturers of auto parts in the professional racing industry. They are proud holders of the TÜV certificate, which testifies to the quality of their products.
